**Hens**, short for **Hebe + Ethereum Classic Name Service**, is a scalable, distributed, and open naming system based on the Ethereum Classic blockchain, mainly serving human-readable names.

HENS maps human-readable names like **hebe.etc** to machine-readable identifiers and is able to read **Ethereum Classic addresses, content hashes and metadata**.
